Welcome

Location The Natural Resources College is an Agricultural and Natural Resources Training Institution situated  16 km west of the Capital  City of Malawi, Lilongwe, and about 3.5 km off Lilongwe-Mchinji Road hence its  not too far way from the benefits of the city, yet not too close for its hassles. Built on a 270 ha. estate, the College has excellent training facilities, which include a farm, natural forest and neighboring farming communities. Historical Background In 1969 the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Government of Malawi decided to set up a Natural Resources College. The College was to provide training for technical assistance in the field of agriculture, and would include all pre-service training for the Ministry's extension staff

A 162 ha. site was acquired and sketch designs were prepared in 1973 that formed the basis of a project proposal prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. In 1977 the Government of Malawi asked the Government of Canada through its International Development Agency (CIDA), for help in the development of the College and, subsequently, work to develop the College started in 1984. The College was officially opened on 4th February,1986, by Malawi's first Head of State, His Excellency Ngwazi  Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.     For more information, Downloads List of Students for Supplementary Exam Press Release - Supplementary Exams International Training Document Revision of Fees Sept 2012 - Dec 2012 Student Union 2012 College Farm Price list Business Facility Rates What's Up? Natural Resources College wishes to inform its final year and continuing students that Supplementary Examinations will be conducted from week beginning 12^th August 2012. The new semester opens on 27^th August 2012. Student Registration dates and details will be communicated in due course The College has revised Tuition and Boarding fees with effective from September 2012 semester. For all the new fees details visit the downloads section and access the revised fees form The new entrance examinations for the 22^nd Intake is on 17^thJuly 2012. All prospective candidates are requested to bring certificates or notification of results, Personal ID, writing materials and Registration fee of K 2500.00

Upcoming Events Release of 22nd Intake Entrance Examinations The Natural Resources College is pleased to announce the results of intake 22 Entrance Examinations for September - December 2012 semester. All selected candidates are expected to register at the College on Saturday, 25th August 2012 from 1:00pm. Classes will commence on Monday, 27^th August, 2012. Those who do not report by Friday, 7^th September 2012 will have their places declared vacant. There is no reservation of places. The students General Assembly will be held on 7^th September 2012 at NRC Hall campus.
